7digital What we said: Ah, the difficult second album… Pip “Ladyhawke” Brown can certainly tell you a thing or two about that. Burnt-out from a punishing two year tour in support of her acclaimed debut, the Kiwi singer-songwriter admitted to “being worried the whole time” when recording her sophomore effort. She may have been stressed at the time but, to us, “Anxiety” seems somewhat of a misnomer for this sparkling set. Eschewing the synth-pop stylings of ‘My Delirium’, Brown’s plumped for a more guitar-focused but equally infectious sound, informed by time spent swatting up on Blur, Pixies and Nirvana.
