7digital What we said: Whether you loved or loathed them, there was no denying the fact that Limp Bizkit were once one of the biggest rock acts on the planet. Numerous public spats, two underwhelming albums and a whole decade of disappointment on since Chocolate Starfish… and nu-metal’s ringleaders have now found themselves recast as figures of fun. Gold Cobra ought to go some way to reversing the Florida rap-rockers’ fortunes, guitarist Wes Borland having returned to help Fred Durst produce what is a true fan-pleaser of an album, and certainly Limp Bizkit’s best since 2000. Sure, they're not going to be winning many points for innovation, but with riffs this heavy they can easily drown out the doubters.
