And (our favourite) whatever happened to Tom Vek? His debut, We Have Sound, had critics tipping him as the new Beck back in 2005 but then he went very quiet… Until now, that is. Yep, call off the search party because the near (or is it long?) sighted multi-instrumentalist is back, waving his second album in our excited faces. Leisure Seizure is a beauty too, filled with cacophonous concoctions that splice together wonky guitars, clattering percussion, Metronomy-esque synths and Vek’s deadpan delivery. And now, let’s get back to pondering that syrup…
